It varies for different universities but generally you need at least chemistry or biology A level, all A grades to be sure, plus GCSE maths and english. There are plenty of feeder courses though for people with non-traditional qualifications. We have one at USW, Medical Sciences which acts as a feeder degree for Cardiff uni med school. There are others too although make sure you ask about the numbers of graduates going on to medicine if you are looking at access courses. You can also do a more traditional science degree (eg biomedical science) and go on to do graduate entry medicine afterwards. Hope that helps.

Warwick university only teaches postgraduate medicine, which means you do a science undergraduate degree before applying for medicine. Some people get into medicine through this route because they didn’t get the grades at A-levels to get into medicine first time, so there are a few routes you can take to study medicine!
