• Question: what do you plan to do in the future with your work.

      In the short term I want to finish my training so I can start doing the more important and complicated parts of my job. In the long term I’d like to get to the point where I can help run the hospital lab but that’s quite a way in the future!

      I want to finish my PhD and get a job in science! I’m not sure if I want to stay in scientific research yet, so who knows where I’ll end up!

      I’m quite happy being a lecturer and teaching microbiology and doing research until I retire. With my research, I would love to successfully make our test for urine infections, and I would love to work closely with water companies to make sure we’re treating our sewage and waste in the best, most environmentally friendly way possible.
